2013 — Reinterpreting Italian chocolate

Lavolio begins in London with a bold idea: to reinterpret traditional Italian confectionery into something more memorable, more playful, and beautifully giftable. The first collections are handmade and sold at local food markets, introducing a new way to experience chocolate-coated almonds, nuts and fruits.

2014 — Launch at Fortnum & Mason

Lavolio launches at Fortnum & Mason and receives multiple Great Taste Awards. Early recognition confirms both the quality of the ingredients and the originality of Lavolio — a refined alternative to the traditional box of chocolates.

2017 — Gifting boxes designed to be kept

The “perfect alliance between chocolate and crunch” evolves into something more. Signature tins — including designs inspired by William Morris — become central, transforming each collection into something to taste, to offer, and to keep.

2020 — From retail to e-commerce

A moment of reinvention. As the world shifts, Lavolio transforms its retail model into a fast-growing e-commerce business. Features on BBC Panorama and Netflix bring visibility, while online becomes the primary way customers discover the brand.

2026 — A growing global confectionery brand

More than £2 million Lavolios have been enjoyed since launch. Today, Lavolio continues to create premium Italian confectionery collections designed for gifting — combining playful flavour, craftsmanship and elegant presentation.
