Venice, My Favourite City In Italy

If we had to choose our favourite city among all the ones to visit in Italy, we would probably choose Venice. An exceptional vacation destination place that you may like or dislike, but I assure you it will definitely impress you.

It is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and unique in the world. In Venice, you can go from sailing a gondola down the Grand Canal to visiting San Marco, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. You can contemplate the works of such renowned artists as Titian, Tintoretto, Bellini, and Veronese.

Florence, The City with The Most Works Of Art In Italy

The capital of Tuscany is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and one of the best places to visit in Italy. So, we must give it the position it deserves among the most important places to see in Italy.

It is a city that radiates art from all sides, thanks to numerous artists such as Michelangelo, who contributed to creating a city worthy of admiration with their sculptures and constructions.

In Florence, you can admire Michelangelo's David, one of the world's best-known sculptures. Then cross the Ponte Vecchio, one of the most famous bridges on the planet. There, you admire the paintings in the Uffizi Gallery or climb the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore for a panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside.

Cinque Terre, The Most Picturesque

If Venice is our favourite city to visit in Italy, our favourite towns are the Cinque Terre. Beautiful pastel-coloured fishing villages perched on the mountainside of Liguria.

We assure you that it is an absolute delight to walk through the streets of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola. These are widely regarded as some of the most beautiful towns in the world. However, my favourite is Riomaggiore which has great charm! One of the unique places in Italy for an Italian holiday!

To get to these villages with beautiful colourful houses, you will have to take a train or boat from La Spezia, although you can also get there by car. Of course, make sure that the accommodation has parking as it is almost impossible to park in Cinque Terre.
