Craig David Eats Lavolio

On Saturday, we found out on the Daily Telegraph that the one and only Craig David eats Lavolio!

On Saturday, I picked up a copy of the Telegraph Magazine as I normally do. If I do not buy the paper version from my local newsagent, I normally read it online. The Telegraph has a lovely My Saturday section where celebrities describe how they spend their Saturday. This time, it was musician, DJ and singer Craig David's turn.

Who is Craig David?

Craig David rose to fame in 1999, featuring on the single "Re-Rewind" by Artful Dodger. David's debut studio album, Born to Do It, was released in 2000, after which he has released a further five studio albums. He's collaborated with lots of different artists and is Grammy-nominated!

He is a World Health Organization's appointed Ambassador against tuberculosis. His first activity in this role was to travel to South Africa to learn more. There, he met people suffering from the disease or having recovered from it, and scientists who have dedicated their lives to fighting tuberculosis. David stated that his mission is to help overcome the social stigma of TB in order to beat the disease.

What does he do on Saturday?

In the Telegraph article, David talks about practising mindfulness, relaxing at home with a film and producing music in his home studio. Here is an extract from the article, written by Anna Clarke.

"9 AM: My phone wakes me up, then I set my intentions for the day. I think about the things I’m grateful for – my friends and family, and being healthy. I put on my dressing gown – I was given it by a hotel and love the texture – and drink a 1.5-litre bottle of water. I’ll have a hot shower for five minutes and then 30 seconds of freezing cold. I use Malin+Goetz peppermint shampoo, which I first tried at the Mondrian in LA. I’ll go for matcha green tea and a homemade ginger and carrot juice, then plain oats with a couple of drops of stevia – a natural leaf from the Amazon rainforest. I’ve tried to become more mindful when eating, so I avoid reaching straight for my phone."

Sugar Coated Italian Chocolate
Craig David eats Lavolio Nutty Forest!

This is the really exciting part. The part that made me and the Lavolio team exclaim WOW! out loud. Craig David eats my Italian sweets best-selling collection Nutty Forest! The most chocolatey and nutty of my signature gift boxes. It contains hazelnuts, pistachios and almonds, and three types of chocolate. White, Gianduia and Extra Dark. It is a favourite among people of all ages. We are delighted that Craig David loves it too!

Here is the excerpt from Anna Clarke's Telegraph article:

"3 pm: I’m very visual when it comes to songs, and similarly with areas in my home. I’m currently plan- ning how to decorate my movie room, and want to theme it, so I’ll browse Prop Store. My favourite movies are Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and The Devil’s Advocate – vastly different.

7 pm: For dinner, it’s something light – salad or brown rice. Then I watch a film such as the sci-fi Passengers in my open-plan living room, with Lavolio’s Nutty Forest for snacks."

Thank you, Craig David, for supporting my small business by snacking on my handmade chocolates!
